The journey begins...

"Therefore I tell you: Whatever you ask in prayer, believe that you have received it and it will be yours"
Mark 11:24

This is a scripture we received last sunday when we had a meeting with few of our team members in Stuttgart (Germany). As we all stand united in prayer and have asked Him to come and set His people in the Congo free, we believe that our prayers have been answered. It is the time for God's presence to be manifested in the Congo!

Last week we also had an amazing and blessed time at the House of Prayer in Augsburg and really experienced the power of prayer and intercession. It was an absolute confirmation of our journey to the Congo and of how God will use us to be part of the solution there. Since then we have seen blessings over blessings through people wanting to contribute and get involved and God preparing for our accomodation in the Congo. It is simply indescribable and amazing!

We would like to thank the House of Prayer in Augsburg for responding to this call and being part of what God is doing in the Congo. Thanks also be also to our beloved family and friends who have contributed both in prayer, finances and have donated many electronic devices. You have all made this journey possible.

This evening, about 9:30pm German time, we start in our journey in Frankfurt via Addis Abeba (Ethiopia) and will arrive in Kigali (Rwanda) on Sunday the 17th at about 12 noon. We will be picked up by Pappy's brother and will all spend the night in Kigali. On monday early morning we will be heading off towards Bukavu, the city in the DR Congo where we will be based for the next 5 months.

The luggage is almost packed and we are overjoyed to finally embark on our journey, yet are aware of the challenges ahead of us - and as we all know: leaving the familiar behind and saying goodbye is always the painful part of something new to come. We ask you to stand with us in prayer for a safe and smooth journey - especially that there would be no unforeseen complications at the borders we are crossing on our way.

We will post an update as soon as we have arrived in Africa and have access to internet. Until then we stand united and greet our friends from around world. You are an indescribable blessing!

With much love and thankfulness,
Svenja and Pappy
