Congo - The place I call Home!

Dear friends,

since monday we are in Congo. Our journey with the bus and crossing the border went very smooth. Praise God for He truly prepared our way!

Pappy's parents, brothers, uncle and friends picked us up from the boarder. It was a very special moment for everyone.

Now we are slowly adjusting to the life in Bukavu and are enjoying every single minute with family and friends. The beauty and richness of this land are breathtaking, yet the majority of population is extremely poor fighting the daily struggle of survival. Poverty meets our eyes everywhere we go and the injustices happening are so obvious and at times unbearable. We still have to adjust to the life here.

We feel God's protection around us and praise Him for we know that He is in control and He is just. Let us not forget to praise Him for the good works he has already done among the people in the DRC!

Sorry for keeping you waiting so long, we didn't have access to internet - TIA. Updates and pictures will follow next week. We hope to have constant internet soon.

Much love,
Svenja and Pappy
